Paperwork & COI


In order to rent from Leduc Lighting, we need the Onboarding Paperwork document dated and signed, as well as a Certificate of Insurance from your insurance provider. Those documents will vary depending on if you are only renting equipment or if you also want to rent a pre-loaded vehicle.

Onboarding Paperwork

This documents contains the following forms :

  • You will find in this documents the policy of our company concerning pick-up, drop-offs, rental procedure and insurances. Please review this part carefully before dating and signing.

  • You will find in this document the legal agreement and responsibilities of both parties when it comes to renting transportation and equipment.

  • This document will secure the equipment. No equipment can leave our premise without pre-authorization of payment. This form is seen as a security for payment but other methods of payment can be arranged if discussed previously. A copy of your credit card and ID are required.

  • This documents introduces the crew member who will drive our vehicle. A valid US driving licence is required in order to operate our vehicle. A copy of the Driving Licence is necessary.

Certificate of Insurance

This document can be obtained through an insurance provider. It confirms coverage for your production, as well as for Leduc Lighting’s equipment and vehicles.

A Certificate of Insurance (C.O.I) is required for orders where the minimum replacement value exceeds $3,000.

If you choose to waive coverage, you agree to assume full responsibility for the equipment while it is in your possession.

Equipment Only C.O.I

The document must contain :

  • Minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence.

  • The amount of coverage requested is based on the quantity of equipment rented and replacement value.

    For pre-loaded van packages, minimum replacement value of $30,000. Must show deductible amounts.

    The following are accepted :

    • Inland Marine Coverage

    • Miscellaneous Equipment Policies

    • Production Package Insurance (Which includes coverage to rented equipment)

    • D.I.C.E Policies

    • Rented film equipment.

  • $1,000,000 limit (Covers the loss of use if a vehicle or a piece of equipment is lost and damaged).

  • Leduc Lighting should be listed as Additional Insured and Loss Payee and their interests may appear.

  • Minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence.

    Damage.

Vehicle & Equipment C.O.I

The document must contain :

Coverage Opt-Out

This option implies :

  • A $50 ‘non-coverage fee’ will be added to the final order.

  • Coverage opt-out is permitted only for orders with a replacement value of less than $3,000.

  • By opting out of coverage, you forgo financial protection on your rental equipment, making you fully responsible for any repair or replacement costs. You agree to assume full responsibility for the equipment while it is in your possession. In the event of any damage, loss, or theft of equipment or accessories, you will be liable for 100% of the repair or replacement costs.

    You will also be responsible for any additional rental charges incurred while the equipment is undergoing repair or replacement.

  • A credit card authorization hold is required as a deposit.

Leduc Lighting does not provide insurance but we recommend reaching out to the insurance companies below. The cost of coverage depends on the provider, but short-term policies usually begin around $170, while annual policies start at approximately $470.
