BEHIND LEDUC LIGHTING

Leduc Lighting was created by Tom Leduc, a French lighting technician who dedicated his life to understand the science behind good lighting.

Born in a family entirely made of TV and film technicians, Tom moved from Paris to Los Angeles in 2017 after winning a green card at the national lottery. There, he made his name by working on many films, music videos, TV shows, documentaries and photo campaigns.

After working in many of downtown LA's notoriously hard-to-access photo studios, Tom set out with a clear mission: to create the perfect lighting package designed with photographers in mind. He noticed a growing demand on photoshoots for continuous lights and realized there was a real need for an all-in-one solution to keep shoots running smoothly.

With this vision in mind, he set out to design a lighting solution that was both essential and highly convenient. He started with a low-profile van that could fit into just about any parking space, making it easy to get to any location. Then, he tracked down the perfect carts—compact enough to fit in the van and navigate tight spots like elevators and narrow hallways.

Every detail was carefully thought out to focus on the essentials, making life easier for creatives on set. Motivated by a desire to improve workflows and meet the evolving demands of the creative industry, Tom founded Leduc Lighting to bring his vision to life.
